Just out of curiosity, does any one know what language Microsoft Word was developed in?

I'd say it was written in Visual C++ (MFC) but that's a guess. I'm saying that because Visual C++ (MFC) is very much geared towards the document/view architecture ala the Word Document and the Print Layout view.
