Can Microsoft Access be Hosted

I have been seeking out hosting services to run Offices applications and a Access database i developed.  I have received some really lame answers like the following

"MS Access is a file based database and is not designed for sharing, (i.e. If someone opens the database, no one else can open it).  In addition, MS Access file cannot be opened remotely (over the Internet).  We support MS Access for web applications.  It is not possible for us to host your access database and allow your desktop client to access it.  Your best bet is to hire a programmer to create a web application that connects to the database."

My Response was the following:
"The database I developed for maintenance Management is shared by the 600 users at my base.  It's true that more than 10 simultaneous is a heavy load but I rarely exceed those limitations.  Furthermore, theoretically if I wanted to share it over the CG's nation wide WAN I could and every workstation that had a license for MS Access could run the program.  The Web interface is not nearly as robust as an application like Access."

My question;  Can MS Access be run on a remote hosting service the same way as on my LAN/WAN as described above?  If so do you a Microsoft Partner hosting service that knows about MS Access?
