When using OneNote 2007 Beta 2 and WDS 3.0 Beta 2 on Windows XP, search results from OneNote are just shown as empty pages with a cryptic ID (e.g. 7C26186E4CAFEF0C21E2AEB5C882E17D01000000) in the Windows desktop search result page.

Search works fine from within Onenote but it would be really useful to be able to search the Onenote Notes from within the desktop search environment as well.

Will this automatically change with the next releases or do I have to set something different?

I agree. The cryptic url really isn't customer friendly. The good news is that the WDS and OneNote 2007 teams are currently working on an update that will allow for a much more user-friendly display of results. I'll post back in this thread as soon as it is available to the public.
