Welcome to the Microsoft UI Automation (UIA) Forum. This forum is for discussion of development issues related to working with Microsoft UI Automation.

Typical users of this forum will be:

• Developer who needs to make a control accessible. Your role is the provider in the UIA model.
• Developer who needs to create an assistive technology such as a screen reader, screen magnifier, on screen keyboard, command & control utility, etc. Your role is the client in the UIA model.
• Developer who needs to create test automation for a GUI. Your role is the client in the UIA model.

When posting issues to the forum please clearly identify your role in the UIA model. Also please make sure to be explicit about what set of UI technology you are working against. When discussing automation issues with specific controls it is helpful to include the name of the UI Framework and the ClassName of the control you are working with.
