Video card problem with RC1 Vista 32bit.

I've been getting an error with RC1 32bit version of Vista, with the 96.33 nvidia drivers. I have a 6800 Ultra card. I've posted this on the nvidia site as well, but I figured why not try here too.

First off, when I uninstalled the old nvidia drivers in order to install the 96.33 ones, after I restarted my PC, windows automatically installed "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter." I still tried to install the 96.33 driver, and when the PC rebooted, it wasn't recognized and the "standard VGA adapter" was still shown as being installed. I've tried everything I could think of...tried doing all the steps in different order, etc.

The other thing is this: When I actually go into Device Manager, and manually try to show windows the exact 96.33 driver file, it detects the 6800 Ultra, but gives an error message; "Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it."

Any help is appreciated!
