spelling with CultureInfo = "de-De" wont work.

Hi all,

the msn search service works fine for me in VS2005.

But the SourceType.Spelling works only with en- languages.

One Sample:

A query with the word indecserver returns with CultureInfo de-DE no WebResult and no SpellingResult. If i change the CutlureInfo to en-US and repeat the query, the SpellingResult comes right with indexserver and all is fine.
Nows anyone if this is a problem with the SearchService or it comes from msn QueryServer?

Thanx for Help
Klaus

Klaus,

the spelling correction works with CultureInfo set to de-DE.

Try the misspelled search term Begrift instead of Begriff and you will get the correction.

I don't know exactly the reason why the spelling correction does not work with the term indecserver. But I think the search service doesn't identify the term indexserver as a german word and the spelling correction only works with terms of the specified language.

Yes, you're right,

the most terms i testet are not "german" enough ;-).

When i give the searchService more Words from "Duden" he works well.

Thanx

Klaus
