SQL Server Mobile and isqlw20

Doing a dev project with VS2005, Windows Mobile 5 on the PocketPC and SQL Server 2005 backend, and want to be using SQL Server Mobile for the device database.

Since I have all the 2005 tools, I'm wondering why, when I do a deploy to the PocketPC emulator, isqlw20 keeps showing up on the device. In my ppc project, I have references to system.data.sqlserverce and system.data.sqlclient.

The dev pc also has installed on it VS6 and VS2003.Net. Any help appreciated.

SQL CE 2.0 might be there in the ROM itself. Did you check that out?

Hey Bob,

Check the version of the reference you have in your project to System.Data.SqlServerCe. It is probably pointing at the SQL CE 2.0 version (left over from VS2003) and hence Visual Studio 2005 is deploying the older Query Analyzer along with your project.

You're looking for version 3.0 of System.Data.SqlServer.Ce to be referenced in your project.

Thanks Darren and Laxmi. I had the right version referenced, but then had to do a re-install of VS2005 for another reason, and now I'm getting the expected result. Thanks for your help.
