History information doesn't show up after branch?

I recently performed a branch operation. It seems that after the branch my history information doesn't show up. It shows up for the source of the branch, but not for the newly branched items. I need the history information to show up in both places. How can I accomplish this?

I'm afraid the only way to do this is command line power toy - tfpt history. You can specify there /followbranches which does what you want. More about powertoys in Brian's and Buck's blogs (and many others)

The Team Foundation Power Toy (included in the Visual Studio SDK) can show you history including that which comes before a branch.

tfpt history /followbranches

does the trick. There's no way to see that information in the IDE in VS2005.

I really like Team Foundation Server, but just so you guys know, I will be taking a lot of flack from people (My Boss) on this issue :-(.

I have the power toy, but people here are not going to be happy if they have to use a command line utility to get this information.

You may want to look into the CodePlex project codenamed "Vertigo" (http://codeplex.com/Wiki/View.aspx?ProjectName=TFSVTreeBrowse). I believe that this will do what you are asking when complete.
