Date validation

How would you go about adding date validation in TFS reports? For instance, I'd like to ensure the "start date" parameter is an earlier date than the "end date" one.
Brian Patrick

Hi Brian,

If you use the SQL Server Reporting Services calendar control (the same control that we used in some of the reports included in TFS), then I don't think you will have to worry about start date being earlier than the end date. For example, if your start date is later than your end date, then SQL Reporting Services will switch the dates and assume that your end date was actually the start date. Give that control a try and let me know if you have any problems.

Thanks,

Alan

The Calendar Control for parameters will automatically be added if you add a parameter of type "DateTime" to a report.

It would help us out if you posted new questions in their own thread. What happens is the original question asked in the thread gets answered and the entire thread is marked as answered. We usually stop looking at answered threads - so any additional questions posted in that thread can get lost.
