TFS Project Structure creation

HI

Can any one tell me how to create a team project for the above secenrio

we are in product development, so we have a product at top level and which in turn has n sub modules projects. The Structure is like this

Product

Module1-Team A (10 persons are working)

Module 2-Team B(20 persons are working)

Module 3 -Team C(10 persons are working)

.........................................................

..........................................................

Module n-Team N( 10 persons are working)

Based up on this scenerio, i want to create a team project where in ,project Lead of a particular Module should have access to his module relating information (it may in the Team expolrer, share point site, reporting site) only.more over each team of a module should have their own protal site where they can post they document, which can not be accessed by other module members.

Please tell me out to solve this problem.

Hi Prasad,

If I understand correctly, you are trying to create multiple projects with TFS (which you have been successful at) and you want separate sharepoint sites for each project. By default, each TFS project should have its own sharepoint site. Each of these sites should also have unique permissions as defined by the project, so if your developers only have permissions for a given project, they should also only have permissions for that sharepoint site.

Does that help at all?

Dear Matt

NO, we are not creating multiple projects.we are doing like this

At top level we have a team project (i.e our product) and this team project contains different modules, each of them is developed by different teams in our organisation.

You will need to set the permissions for each part separately. Since TFS, SharePoint, and Reporting services permissions must be set in separate tools, you may find the following power toy helpful.
