Explorer

There is a way for use the explorer like a standalone application outside Vs2005 ?

Do you mean internet explorer? You can press "ctrl + alt + r" to bring in an IE window to browse. Actually this forum is specific to Team Foundation server administration issue and for general VS questions, try one of VS forums under http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/default.aspx?ForumGroupID=6&SiteID=1

If you're referring to Team Explorer- yes. You can install just the Team Explorer without Visual Studio- it should be in the "tfc" folder in your installation media. The standalone client looks very much like Visual Studio since it installs the VS shell if VS is not present, so you don't need to have Visual Studio installed to use Team Explorer.

Hope this helps-

How would I go about wrapping my own client around the Team Explorer (instead of using the VS shell)?

Thanks in advance,

You could code to either our command-line interfaces (like tf.exe), our object model (preferred for this kind of situation) or our web service interfaces (much more painful to deal with than the object model).

You can see an example app at http://teamsystemrocks.com/blogs/mickey_gousset/archive/2006/02/07/654.aspx
