PVCS to TFS conversion?

Hello,

we are currently working with the PVCS Version Manager and I want to migrate the data from our PVCS database into TFS because we want to use TFS in the near future. Is there any way to get the data to work in TFS? Maybe with a third-party-tool? I'm searching since 6 hours now and I can't find anything to do this.

The only conversion tool I know is VSSConverter, but, as it name says, it's intended to migrate from VSS

It seems you will need to develop your own tool, using the Version Control object model, you can find more samples and documentation about it in the Visual Studio 2005 SDK, and also on the the Version Control forum

I'm sorry I don't know any conversion tool also from PVCS to Source Safe

I don't know of an existing pvcs to tfs converter, but you could contact the folks at ComponentSoftware to see if they have any plans for such (they currently support converting rcs, cvs, and subversion to tfs).

I am evaluating the ComponentSoftware toolsand have found them to not be very robust. I am trying to leverage them in several test scenarios for migrating PVCS (via SVN) and Visual SourceSafe conversions and have had problems every step of the way. Only being able to interact with support via Email has slowed down the evaluation process considerably. Their is not currently a single tool that will migrate from PVCS to TFS but I am documenting alternative processes. We currently have several version control tools in house and I am trying to figure out how to consolidate on TFS.
