TFS repair process failed !!

Hi all,

i will tell you the whole story ......

Our domain has failed and replaced with a new domain server (named with same previous name and all active directory users have been recreated with the same previous names) ..... of course ... after this replacement i tried to load team foundation server but it fails to load error: a service unable to load  .... i tried to repair TFS from add/remove programs but the repair failed as it failed to locate some files like dataacesslayer.dll and other files and it output the path of the files a long path under c:\program files\[vs studio folder name]\[team foundation folder name]\program files\ ...... you can notice that the path is unreasonable and the repair process can't locate some files and this folder doesn't exists anyway ....!! and so he ouput a screen to retry or to ignore or to abort ... so after some retries ... the repair failed ..........!!!!!

i tried to repair it manullay by locating the services of tfs and i find a service called tfsscheduler i go to the logon and i applied the logon information which is the domain account Tfsservice and i applied its password ..... i tried to connect again but it gives this time "error 503 : service unavailable" !!

The following is the error log event of the problem:

I'm assuming you have data in your databases that you want to keep.

Best thing to do at this point is uninstall both the AT & DT and you might have to deal with SQL & WSS too as they have domain account issues (but try without first). Reinstall DT & AT, we'll recognize existing DBs and use them and you should be mostly fine. I think you could potentially have access issues as the SIDs for the accounts have changed.
