My TFS trial installation expired.
Without uninstalling, I upgraded the TFS Trial edition to the Workgroup edition by using the product key found in the setup.sdb file on the TFS Workgroup installation media. Everything appeared successful. The server restarted. I rebooted to make sure everything was updated.
However, I am now unable to connect to my TFS server no matter what I try. I always receive TF53011 ("[server\user] is not a licensed user..") errors when I try to connect to the server using the original TFS Admin account I used to install the TFS trial. According to the documentation here:
http://blogs.msdn.com/vstsue/articles/556043.aspx
...the account I used to install the TFS trial should have automatically been added to the new Team Foundation Licensed Users security group during the upgrade. This does not appear to have happened and now I am unable to connect to the server at all.
Any ideas on how I can fix this? |
