When I access the project portal for a Team Project and attempt to click on any Project Management document (like the Issues.xls) I receive the error message: TF84011: Could not connect to team project XXXX.

I can access documents that are in Requirements without any problem. I also, am able to get the items like the Issues list by using the query in the Work Items for the project in the Team Explorer.

This is a new installation of the full Team Foundation Server. The problem occurs no matter whether I am on the server directly or a client and occurs for all user-IDs, including those with full administrative privileges.

Can anyone help?

The documents in the Project Management document library are modified during the project creation process. When these documents are opened, they attempt to connect to the team server and team project that they were associated with and run a query (for example, the 'Issues.xls' file will attempt to run the 'All Issues' query on the server). When the documents are uploaded, the url of the server and the name of the project are encoded in the document itself, so if the server was renamed or the files were copied from a different project and the source project was deleted you will see this problem.

If you wish to replace these files, you can simply overwrite them with blank xls files of the same name.
