I?? a partner/developer/architect for a small development firm and I haven been getting up to speed on MSF and specifically the new MSF Agile. We have been using pre-release versions of TFS internal for some of out projects. So far the system has really helped us increase the efficiency of our development process in terms of fixing bugs and assigning work. Our goal is to adopt and fully embrace the MSF model for all of our projects going forward.
With this in mind, I have taken a look at MSD Agile process templates in TFS as well as the newly updated versions. For the most part they seem fairly thin. I know that the goal of the Agile methodology is to cut the flak and provide a simplified framework, but I would like to find some concrete examples of how things are done. I?? basically looking for some samples or templates that will allow me to see the whole picture including:
Completed documents for a sample project that show the evolution of a requirements and features from envisioning, to planning, through development.
Samples or templates for linking conceptual design (UI etc) with the rest of the project documentation such as usage scenarios etc.
I understand what I am looking for might require some kind of commercial product (beyond TFS) or perhaps spending some time reading some books or taking some classes. I?? prepared to do so, but I would greatly appreciate any guidance from anyone who might have gone down this road before.
