reverse engineering

I have been trying to reverse engineer a Visual FoxPro (VFP) 6 database with Visio for Enterprise Architects with not much luck. I'm thinking I need a Visio driver for VFP because when I run the reverse engineering wizard I get a list of "installed Visio drivers" to use but VFP isn't on the list and when I use the ODBC Generic Driver I get the warning: "You are using a Visio 'ODBC Generic Driver' to connect with a 'Visual FoxPro' DBMS database. By using an incompatible driver, it is possible that the catalog information retrieved will be incomplete."

Can someone help me to find a driver for Visio to use or even with the reversing process?

Thanks,

Hello
You will need to make sure you have the FoxPro ODBC driver installed. Then from the Reverse engineer wizard you can click the new button to create a new datasource and use the FoxPro ODBC driver. You should post to the FoxPro newsgroup if you need help in finding the FoxPro ODBC driver.

Thanks Brian,
But I'm still getting a warning message; "You are using a Visio 'ODBC Generic Driver to connect with a 'Visual FoxPro' DBMS datasource. By using an incompatible driver, it is possible that the catalog information retrieved will be incomplete." After I installes the ODBC the Reverse Engineer Wizard had added two Data sources; "Visual FoxPro Database" and "Visual FoxPro
Tables." However, in the 'Installed Visio drivers:' drop down list there isn't a FoxPro driver so I still have to pick the 'ODBC Generric Driver' which still gives me the warning.
How do I get a FoxPro driver in the Installed Visio drivers list?
Thanks,
Jim

Hello
Yes you need to select the ODBC Generic driver to use the VFP ODBC driver. This is all documented in the Visio for Enterprise Architects online help under the
"About database drivers" section which is located under Database Models ->Data Source Connections in the help contents. The short answer is that you cannot add to the Visio proprietary database drivers list. But you can use any 32bit ODBC driver to connect to a database.
