Unit testing is such a fundamental expectation of the Agile software process, I am disappointed that the Unit test is not part of the core team server client product.

Particularly, right-click on a member function to create a Unit test, and then the test view window to manage unit testing. These seem to be functionality that should be part of the core team server client product.

1. What is the reasoning behind this decision? (besides revenue)

2. What is the cheapest way to purchase the Unit test functionality as an add on to the core TeamServer licensed product?

3. Any chance you may change just how this functionality is bundled?

Unit testing is part of Visual Studio Team Edition and has nothing at all to do with Team Server.

Why isn't it included in Pro or even Standard edition? That's a fair question, and one that's been asked before - many times. You can always use NUnit for Std & Pro.

The only way to get Unit Testing from MSFT at this time is to buy one of the Team Edition SKUs of Visual Studio that includes unit testing.

As for changing the packaging, I can only suggest that you enter a suggestion on the VS feedback site:
