Tried to install on VS.Net 2005 Pro, using Guidance Automation Extensions Technology Preview (December 2005 Release for Visual Studio 2005)

Getting error: "There was an error reading the manifest file for the Guidance Automation Extensions.  The error is --> Method not foung: 'Void System.Xml.XmlReaderSettings.set-XsdValidate(Boolean)'.  --> Method not found 'Void System.Xml.XmlReaderSettings.set-XsdValidate(Boolean)'."

This is a new install, VS.net 2005 is a clean install on Windows XP Pro SP2

This error occurs when you attempt to install the May CTP (designed for Beta 2) on the RTM release of VS2005.

I know you said you downloaded the latest December release of GAX - but we just found out that due to a problem with the download servers, some people were intermittently receiving the old version of GAX even after we released the new version.

We have been told that the problem has been rectified, so you should be able to download GAX and GAT again and it should install fine. To make sure you're running the correct version, check that the first page of the MSI wizard says "December 2005 Technical Preview" (the old May release doesn't have a date displayed).
