no email received for activation key

I do not receive an email to complete the process of getting an activation key for Visual C++ Express Beta 2. I signed up for the MIcrosoft Passport and downloaded Visual C++ Express Beta 2 a few weeks ago and have since used it, but now it is asking me for an activation key. What could be wrong?

I did not receive one either, but it was on the web page after download, so I just copied it to the activation dialog and it worked just fine.

Please go to "Activate Product" on the Help menu in the application, click on the Register link, and complete the registration process. After your e-mail address is confirmed, you should immediately see the Web page with your activation key for Visual C++ Beta 2 Express.

Activation keys for Express products are not sent via e-mail.
