I am trying to install Visual Web Developer 2005 Express. The setup file and all installation files has been downloaded, but 1/3 into the .NET framework 2.0 the installation freezes. I am running Win XP sp2, Danish version with .NET framework 1.1 installed + Hotfix + Danish language package.

After rebooting I have tried to uninstall the .NET framework 1.1 + language package, but that is not possible as it complains over a running installation of .NET framework 2.0. Only the hotfix could be uninstalled.

Windows Update suggest, of course, the installation of the hotfix again and when trying to do that, the installation of the .NET 1.1 hotfix freezes.

Anyone seen this issue and know the way to fix it?
